Bumblefoot Says Slash is an Iconic Guitarist with Rare Skills

JAKARTA - Bumblefoot and Slash are two icons with their own eras in Guns N' Roses. Instead of competing, the two actually showed how a legend should behave.

Recently, Ron Bumblefoot Thal revealed how he greatly respects Slash. He also did not hesitate to admit it on television, The Card King Sports And Variety Show which aired on ABC on March 14.

Initially, Ron discussed how he joined the famous band. In short, he was proud to complete the Chinese Democracy album and go on tour for several years.

He then talked about his admiration for Slash. Bumblefoot felt he was very different from Slash, where he relied on technique and precision, while Slash really embodied rock in his performance.

"What you need to know about Slash is that he is really an icon. He is a legend. If you ask, who is the real rock guitarist? The answer is Slash," Bumblefoot said, quoting Blabbermouth, March 16.

As a fellow guitarist he knows very well that it is not easy to play something that many people can remember. And Slash has a rare talent and musical intuition, where his playing can sing and become an iconic part.

"Slash, he makes songs that you can sing and that you immediately recognize in an instant. And that's a rare talent and skill. And it's fantastic. I mean, I do what I do, he does what he does, and the world would be complete with everyone doing what they do," he added.

Bumblefoot emphasizes the importance of sincerity and honesty in music. Not just about being popular, for him musical success can be achieved by living whatever you love freely.

"We all have to be honest with ourselves. We have to be sincere, we have to be authentic. And for me, I'm a weird person, so I play some weird stuff. And that's just the way it is. Will it appeal to a mass audience? No. It has its own place."
