Finally Metallica Announces Residency Concert Schedule at Sphere Las Vegas

JAKARTA - Metallica officially confirmed the news that fans have been waiting for. James Hetfield et al will hold a residency concert titled "Life Burns Faster" at the Sphere Las Vegas, later this year.

The show, which fans have been eagerly awaiting, is scheduled to take place over eight days, specifically on October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31.

Meanwhile, Metallica's drummer and founder, Lars Ulrich, admitted that he was obsessed with performing at the location since he first saw it.

"About 12 seconds after the opening night of the Sphere with U2 in 2023, I immediately thought, 'We have to do this, this is a really untouched area!'" Ulrich said in his statement, quoted by Variety, Thursday, February 26.

He added, this residency is a golden opportunity for the band to redefine the interaction with fans in a live performance.

"We are very excited to share this with the world in the next six months, and very excited to take it to the next level!" he said.

Interestingly, Metallica still maintains the unique tradition of "No Repeat Weekend" which they had previously successfully carried out in the M72 world tour since 2023.

With this concept, Metallica guarantees that there will be no single song that will be played again at the Thursday and Saturday performances every week.

This strategy forces die-hard fans to attend two nights at once in order to get a complete discography experience without repetition.

The technology owned by Sphere is the main attraction of this residence. The audience is promised an audio-visual experience that goes beyond the limits of a regular stadium concert.

With the world's highest resolution LED screen covering the entire audience area, as well as an immersive 4D precision audio system, Metallica intends to bring their musical energy to a completely new dimension.
