Kid Rock Clarifies Lip Sync Allegations at All-American Halftime Show

JAKARTA - American eccentric musician Kid Rock has finally spoken up to respond to the wave of criticism and accusations of lip syncing that hit his performance at the "All-American Halftime Show" organized by Turning Point USA.

Through a video upload on his personal Instagram account, the singer of "Bawitdaba" strongly denied that he was only pretending to sing, although he admitted that his action was not broadcast live alias pre-taped.

Kid Rock explained that the lip sync impression captured by the audience appeared due to technical constraints in the post-production process. According to him, the editing team did not manage to perfectly align the vocal audio with his mouth movements in the video.

He emphasized that the song "Bawitdaba" that he performed had a fast tempo that was very technical, so that the synchronization of the images became a challenge for the production team.

"If I did intend to lip sync, which I would never do, that song would be the last song I would choose to do it," Kid Rock said, quoted Wednesday, February 11.

"We have been performing this song every night on tour since 1998," he continued, accompanied by his trusted DJ, Paradime.

The singer, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, admitted that his performance on stage was very energetic, which made it difficult to edit the video if the available time was limited.

He said he was actively moving on stage while flipping the microphone. Even though there was a synchronization error, he still appreciated the Turning Point USA production team and considered the error to be human.

"It was so hard for them to get it in sync. The song took so much energy. I threw the mic, jumping around like a crazy monkey on stage," said Kid Rock.

"I have nothing but good things to say, not only about Turning Point, but also the production team that worked with them. No one is perfect or can do everything right all the time," he concluded.
