JAKARTA - The news of grief once again approached the music industry of the country. Adie Indra Dwiyanto, who is familiarly called Romi Jahat, the leader of the band Romi & The Jahats (RTJ) and the former vocalist of Marjinal, is reported to have died.

The confirmation came from the official Instagram account of Romi & The Jahats, which said that the vocalist had passed away to the Creator.

"Rest in Power Babeh Romi Jahat," wrote RTJ, quoting the caption of the upload, Tuesday, February 10.

"Romi Jahat babeh kami, sahabat kami, saudara kami telah berpulang. Terima kasih atas semua cinta dan dukungan yang kalian berikan selama ini," sambungnya.

The cause of Romi's death was not explained in detail. However, in January, RTJ announced the cancellation of their concert schedule due to the vocalist's poor condition.

"We are forced to miss you. This is due to the physical health condition of our vocalist, who is currently unable to perform and needs further treatment," the band wrote at the time.

Before forming Romi & The Jahats, he was first known as the frontman of Marjinal in the 1990s.
