Diplo Says BTS's New Album Will Shake the World

JAKARTA - Disjoki and American music producer Diplo officially confirmed his involvement in the production of BTS's latest album titled "ARIRANG".

The album, which is scheduled to be released on March 20, is expected to be a turning point in the global music industry after BTS' hiatus as a group.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Diplo expressed his pride in being able to collaborate with RM et al. He called this project one of the greatest achievements in his production career which has spanned three decades.

The producer with the real name Thomas Wesley Pentz did not hesitate to give high testimonials to the quality that will be presented to the ARMYs - the term for BTS fans.

"I feel so lucky to have worked for three decades and been able to connect with a group like that, and to have them trust me to produce incredible music," Diplo said.

"Honestly, this is going to rock the world. The craziest album ever," he added.

Furthermore, Diplo praised the professionalism of BTS members while in the recording studio. He highlighted their active involvement in the creative process. Specifically, the 47-year-old producer praised Jungkook, who he said had an amazing vocal technique without the help of digital sound editing.

"They are very involved. They are very creative. I almost can't believe it. Jungkook doesn't need autotune. His voice is perfect," he said.

"ARIRANG" will be BTS' first full-length studio album since releasing "Be" in 2020 and the anthology album "Proof" in 2022.

The name of this album is taken from a type of Korean folk music, which represents the depth of emotions, longing, and the ebb and flow of human life.

As part of the global promotion, BTS has put together a massive world tour schedule, titled "ARIRANG World Tour", which covers 34 regions with a total of 79 performances from 2026 to 2027.

In addition, this comeback moment will be even more lively with the airing of the documentary BTS: The Return on the Netflix streaming service on March 27, which will dissect the creative process behind the making of this phenomenal album.
