Laufey has reaffirmed his dominance on the global music scene by winning the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category for the second time at the 2026 Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles last weekend.

"We must not cut funding for the arts. That is very important. What you are all doing here is very important. I love you all. Thank you very much," he concluded, who was then greeted with a roar of applause.

Laufey's victory in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category reinforces his position as a bridge between traditional pop standards and modern audiences.

According to the Recording Academy's official records, this category awards an album that contains at least 51 percent of traditional pop vocal material - an area that Laufey managed to master.

This achievement also adds to Laufey's series of brilliant achievements after previously successfully breaking the streaming record for the jazz genre on digital platforms.
