"I'll Be Yours" Becomes a Meeting Point for Whisnu Santika, Rey Putra, and Cosmo Kent

JAKARTA - Two Indonesian electronic music producers, Whisnu Santika and Rey Putra, have officially joined Cosmo Kent - also known as Prince Husein - to produce the latest work entitled "I'll Be Yours".

This single, carries a breath of dance pop with a groove that is designed in such a way as to remain comfortable in the ears of the listener but still invites passion to dance.

Released via independent label WSM, this collaboration not only offers a clubby beat, but a deep emotional narrative about parting and sincerity.

The lyrics woven in "I'll Be Yours" were born from Prince's fingers. This song portrays feelings of despair as well as acceptance from a couple who must let their relationship end.

Whisnu Santika gave high appreciation to the writing ability of the collaborator.

"He (Prince Husein) has a diction that is really chosen when writing lyrics," said Whisnu in his statement, Monday, December 22.

Through Prince's skill in stringing words, Whisnu's personal experience can be perfectly articulated into a work of art.

Regarding the creative process, Whisnu Santika was the initial architect by composing the basic rhythm foundation. The drafting team was then continued by Rey Putra to be polished further.

"(The demo) is ready to be 'filled' to be perfected. That's my part. Then we handed it over to Prince to make the lyrics, according to Mas Whisnu's instructions," said Rey.

Although there were concerns from Prince's side regarding the potential clash of musical styles, the process actually ended in a deadlock on harmony. However, they managed to find a meeting point that represented their respective identities without having to negate each other.

"I'll Be Yours" also became the debut stage for Prince Husein's transformation into a new persona named Cosmo Kent. For him, this identity is not something instant because the concept has been prepared for a long time.

"This alter ego is the right answer for me, where I can return to working in the colors of music that I have worked on before," said Prince.

The main target of this song is accessibility for a wide audience in the country. With the arrangement made as light as possible for dance music standards, it is hoped that "I'll Be Yours" can be easily absorbed by listeners.
