Album Ikonik Blink 182, Enema Of The State, Reissued in Premium Audiophile Format

JAKARTA - Blink 182's 1999 album, "Enema Of The State", has officially been chosen as the latest title in Interscope/Capitol's prestigious Definitive Sound Series (DSS) program.

This edition is not just a regular reprint, but a limited premium release targeting the audiophile market using cutting-edge technology processes.

"The Definitive Sound Series represents the pinnacle of vinyl-making expertise," said Xavier Ramos representing Interscope/Capitol, quoted by Blabbermouth, Sunday, December 21.

"We are proud to invest in these collection pieces that reflect our respect for these iconic artists, their innovative music, and the fans whose passion continues to keep these albums as relevant today as they were when they were first released," Ramos added.

As one of the main pillars that define modern punk-pop music, "Enema Of The State" has cemented the position of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker as architects of the new wave of melodic punk.

"This album manages to blend fast-paced song hooks with a tendency for mischief, yet still has unexpected emotional depth.

The success brought Blink 182 to the top of global popularity and made this work a cultural milestone for a generation.

To this day, the album is widely acknowledged as one of the most influential rock albums of the late 1990s and early 2000s, whose legacy continues to be felt in today's pop-punk and alternative music scenes.

"Technically, the sound quality on this release is taken very seriously. The mastering process was done by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering using the original analog master tape.

"This 180-gram black vinyl uses the AAA (All Analog Mastering) method and is produced at Record Technology, Inc.

To add to the exclusivity, each vinyl will be packaged in a high-quality Tip On gatefold heavyweight jacket that is housed inside a slipcase with a unique design.

"This product is priced at 100 US dollars and the number is very limited, only 3,000 copies are available, each of which has a handwritten serial number.

"Each edition of DSS will also be equipped with an authenticity certificate detailing the entire series of processes from mastering, plates, to the vinyl pressing stage. This step is taken to ensure the best quality for music lovers who prioritize sound detail.

Previously, the DSS series had released a number of other influential albums such as Dr. Dre's "The Chronic", A Perfect Circle's "Mer De Noms", Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song", and Beck's "Morning Phase".
