Ernie Djohan also enlivened a charity concert titled "100 Musicians Heal Sumatra" which was held in Kemang, South Jakarta on Tuesday, December 16.

The presence of the senior singer is an important part of the effort to raise donations to help victims of flooding and landslides in the Sumatra region.

In his performance, Ernie Djohan brought a nostalgic feel by singing his old song that was so popular, "Teluk Bayur".

Ernie's voice was warmly greeted by the audience, and most of them seemed to sing along - showing how powerful the song's impact on society is.

The emotional moment was presented after his performance, when Ernie took the time to ask for prayers from all the audience for his health.

He conveyed this request considering his current position as one of the most senior singers who will perform in this charity concert.

"I ask for prayers, because I am called the oldest legendary singer after Aunt Titiek Puspa died on April 10. So, I have to take care of my health," said Ernie.

The 74-year-old singer added, "Hopefully you all will pray for me, because I have been working for 63 years."

Ernie's prayer request was also sincerely echoed by the audience who attended - showing their appreciation and respect.
