The Victory Of Gempi At The 2025 AMI Awards Is A Big Pride For Gading Marten

JAKARTA - Gempita Nora Marten alias Gempi, daughter of Gading Marten from her marriage to Gisella Anastasia, came out as the winner of the category Solo Best Children's Solo Artist at the 2025 Indonesian Music Awards (AMI) Awards.

This victory feels special, because it was achieved through a single debut as well as the only work released so far, 'Ajaib', which was introduced in November last year.

Gading Marten looked so happy, when he came to receive an award for his daughter. He called this victory an extraordinary gift from God.

"I'm very happy, very happy, very touched, this is extraordinary. God has given great talent to Gempi," said Gading, met after the AMI Awards award session at Ciputra Artpreneur, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 19.

However, there is a slight regret. Gading, who came late, could not receive a trophy for his son on stage.

"Unfortunately it was late, his father was still in the elevator, suddenly he was watching YouTube, eh, he was already announced," said Gading.

Gempi itself could not attend because the schedule for the event during the day collided with the school schedule. Meanwhile, Gading had just arrived in Jakarta from Bali.

Although not sure that his son really understands the meaning of the award, Gading called this victory a big gift for his son, also for his parents.

"For him, maybe this is a bonus, but for his father and mother, this is something extraordinary," said Gading.

"Incidentally, Christmas will be coming soon, then the new year, after that he will have a birthday. This seems like a lot of gifts. So (make) Gempi, just get ready, wait for a surprise from Papa," he concluded.
