Olivia Dean Breaks British Song Chart Record, Becomes First Female Soloist With Four Songs On Top 10

JAKARTA - British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean made a new history on the music charts of Great Britain. This achievement follows the launch of her second album, The Art of Loving, earlier this month, which immediately kicked off the global music industry.

Dean is now listed as the first female soloist to simultaneously place four of her singles in the Official Charts UK Top 10 a record never broken by any female solo artist before.

The four singles who managed to occupy the top were Man I Need which is perched in the No. 2, So Easy (To Fall in Love) at No. 6, NER To Each Other at No. 8, and his collaboration with Sam Fender at Rein Me In which occupies the No. 10.

This impressive achievement came after the album The Art of Loving itself immediately took the top spot on the UK album charts. The album marks the biggest opening week for British female artists since Adele's achievements in 2021.

Responding to this achievement, Dean immediately shared his joy through his personal Instagram account.

"I am the first woman in history to have four songs on the Top 10 at home (England). Thank you for liking The Art of Loving," wrote Dean, citing an upload caption, Monday, November 3.

Before the album was released, Dean shared the main single 'NER To Each Other' last June. To fans, he explained, the song is about tug-of-war in exploring independence when in a relationship.

Earlier this summer, Dean also made a surprise appearance at the Glastonbury Festival and released a duet version of 'Rein Me In' with Sam Fender, shortly after the two performed Fender's People Watching' at a grand performance at the London Stadium.

For future plans, Dean is ready to tour England and Europe next year, including four show dates at the London Arena O2. In addition, next month, he is scheduled to appear as a musical guest star on Saturday Night Live's popular television show.
