JAKARTA - Nearly two decades under the auspices of Musica Studios, D'Masiv is preparing to undergo a new era as an independent band (indie) starting next January.
"If we don't have our contracts, the album will be finished. So, indeed next year we will be independent," Rian said when met in Antasari, South Jakarta recently.
Rian said preparations to become a fully independent band had begun to be prepared by D'Masiv in recent years. They have established their own companies, where the personnel are shareholders and have their respective roles.
"We (D'Masiv) have become a company, so we already have the rules," he said. We are all shareholders too. So, we are now not just a band, but we have become a legal entity, we already have a business that we run.
The vocalist added that the decision to become an independent band was realized by all personnel. As the personnel form D'Masiv with the same vision, this is still maintained until now, so that they never change formations.
"It turns out that we do have the same vision. We consider this band to be a home like that," said the 38-year-old vocalist.
Not only the same personnel, Rian also mentioned that many teams behind the scenes had been with D'Masiv from the start.

"We had a chance to chat with his crew D'Masiv, who have been with us from scratch. We were surprised, it turns out that these crews already have a house from their music D'Masiv, already have a vehicle from D'Masiv, can send their children too," said Rian.
"So, it seems that if we disband, of course we will eliminate a lot of people who live from us. And thank God, we even longer we believe that this D'Masiv music can be useful for our lives," he added.
To start a new era as an independent band, D'Masiv will launch their first English-language work in January. This is their effort to become an internationally recognizable band.
In addition, Rian cs is traveling to four major cities via a concert tour titled 'Harmony for Tomorrow: DMASIV Live in Concert 2026, which will be present in Medan - April 11, 2026, Bandung - April 25, 2026, Makassar - May 9, 2026, and Surabaya - May 23.
