EJE Finally Debuted As Soloist Through Single In Another World

JAKARTA - Known as a K-pop songwriter until finally appearing as a vocal performer in the animated film KPop Demon Hunters, AKE, finally ventured to debut as a soloist.

After spending most of his time behind the scenes as a songwriter, EJE has now released its first single entitled 'In Another World'.

With this debut, EKE expressed her joy, where the public will find a new side of her,

Meanwhile, "In Another World" he wrote with Ted Andreville and Breagh Badminton, with its production being handled byreagh Badminton, Vitals, and Daniel Rojas.

"I've always been a songwriter, and it's always been the main thing. I think the only difference between songwriters and artists, for me at least, is that I'm making people hear all my demos. But now, this is not a demo; this is the final form," said EKE, citing Variety, Monday, October 27.

Despite being happy, the 33-year-old singers did not deny the fear, considering that being in front of the screen would be very different.

"Behind the scenes, I'm hiding. But when you bring your whole life into it, you allow people to judge you. So, I think that's the scary part," he said.

Regarding his debut single, EKE said, songwriting is something that defines his art. He hopes this single can receive more attention than himself.

"As a songwriter, I'm not trying to attract attention to myself or my personal life. I'm trying to draw attention to the lyrics and melodies so people can feel what I feel when I listen to music," he said.

She also reminisced about how a song like Adele's 'someone Like You' helped her through a difficult time, and she hoped her new song could have a similar impact on others.

EJE shared that this song was written two years ago during a songwriting session in Canada. This song is very personal, inspired by difficult times in his personal relationship with his fianc.

He had questioned, "what if we met at a time when I didn't carry my burden?" The lyrics finally helped EJE accept reality, but at the same time, feeling fine with the decision to give up the relationship.

"Maybe in another world, we will be the perfect couple, and I lean on that parallel world without jealousy. I don't have the problem of the unsafe I brought into that relationship, and it will be perfect," said EKE.

He chose 'In Another World' as his debut because the song is in line with his feelings about the character Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters, which is about accepting demons in themselves' an important process before true growth can occur.
