JAKARTA - Miley Cyrus is confirmed to have contributed her latest work to the soundtrack for the science fiction film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is a sequel to James Cameron's franchise.

Cyrus specifically wrote a song entitled "Dream As One" to be part of a film scheduled for official release on November 14.

Interestingly, the idea behind this song turned out to be from Cyrus' personal experience which was sparked by the devastating fire that hit Los Angeles earlier this year.

Cyrus collaborated with well-known musicians such as Andrew totaling, Mark Ronson, and Simon Franglen in working on "Dream As One," which will later be played as the closing song for the new Avatar film.

Meanwhile, he made the announcement of this song through his social media by sharing short footage, as well as explaining that some of his inspiration came from the LA fire that left traces of the destruction.

"It is an honor to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with the original song I wrote with Mark Ronson and Andrew airing," Cyrus said, citing an upload caption, Friday, October 24.

"I have personally been affected by the fire and bounced back from the ashes. This project has a deep meaning to me. Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine."

The 32-year-old singer also expressed her emotional attachment to the film's theme.

"The theorems of films about unity, healing, and love echo deeply within my soul, and being a small star in the universe created by the Avatar family are truly dreams come true," he concluded.

Although this song will be released as a single next month, the full soundtrack for the film, which also features Franglen's background music, will only be released on December 12.

Cyrus' involvement in the film soundtrack is nothing new. Previously, she released a song called "Beautiful That Way" for the film starring Pamela Anderson, The Last Showgirl.

Meanwhile, the film Avatar: Fire And Ash itself released its first trailer last summer. The story of the third film in this franchise will feature the return of Jake and Neytiri (Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldamen), who this time had to work together while facing loss and meeting the new Navi tribe.

The new strain is led by a new character named Varang (Oona Chaplin), which has allied itself with the antagonist Quaritch (Stephen Lang).

James Cameron has previously confirmed that the film will be the longest in the Avatar franchise and is scheduled to hit UK theaters starting December 19.
