JAKARTA - Charli xcx, finally opened his voice regarding the future of the Brat' era which catapulted his name to the peak of his career. He emphasized that the end of the era that had become a global cultural phenomenon was completely left to semasta, not to him.

As is known, his sixth album, Brat, along with the accompanying remix footage, dominated throughout the summer of 2024.

The cover of the Ligau green album, which is its hallmark, is unavoidable and floods the lines of social media to the biggest international festival stages. He transformed into an widespread cultural phenomenon.

However, speculation over the closure of this era emerged when Charli became the main performer at the 2025 Other Stage Glastonbury. At the end of the show, he symbolically burned the iconic Brat banner on stage an action that many immediately interpreted as a real attempt to pull the finish line at that heyday.

Dismissing this assumption, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Charli hinted that the Brat is actually still alive. He claims that the final decision when that era really ended was beyond its control.

"I can't really decide when it ends or not. I think it's up to the world," Charli said, quoted by NME, Friday, October 17.

The 33-year-old singer added that she believes the 'Brat' phenomenon will continue to live as a relic.

"I don't think people will forget about it," said Charli.

"The end of this will be interesting," he continued. "Because after that I had to look at myself in a different way and be stripped of what everyone identified with me."

When speculating about the next step, Charli emphasized that he would not feel confused,

"I'm not going to look at the abyss, wondering what I'm going to do. I don't just know that this won't last forever, I'm also very interested in the fact that it doesn't last."
