JAKARTA - For bands that have been in a career for decades, recording routines, gigs and tours often erode their musical spirit. But for GIGI, the age of 31 years still feels like a teenager.

This quartet from Bandung has just proven the strength of their chemistry in the intimate showcase at Row 9 Krapela, South Jakarta on October 10. Their main gigs dish this time is the latest full album titled Forever In The Air.

At around 9 p.m., GIGI heated up the stage with new songs like Don't, Not Everyone, Priyayi Dances to Don't Stop. Gigikita had no trouble following Armand's command to sing some part sing along.

Through this showcase, GIGI expressed their enthusiasm for working with JUNI Records. GIGI admitted that the idea of fighting in Krapela itself came from the JUNI team.

"Usually Budjana and I drop a child in this area, now GIGI performs here," Armand told the audience present.

"I want to say thank you first for JUNI Records and the team, this really has to be appreciated. So now GIGI is Raisa and Bernadya's youngest younger brother," added the vocalist.

Usually appearing on the big stage with giant LEDs, fans to fireworks, this time they are back on the ground. This minimalist concept highlights the musicality and chemistry that is the main foundation of GIGI.

And their chemistry can't lie either. Everyone enjoyed the concert, from the songs they just heard to the familiar ones, this mini concert collapsed the barrier between the performers and the audience, literally and implicitly.

"Thank you to Armand, Thomas and Hendy who still want to bother practicing, workshops and make an album." said Dewa Budjana.

Not to forget that GIGI presented nostalgic songs, it could be and Nirwana as encores to close the night.
