Through Single 'It Feels Hard', Meiska Is Increasingly Confident In Carrying The Song Galau As The DNA Of The Music

JAKARTA - Meiska again greeted her loyal listeners through the latest single entitled "It Feels Hard". This song comes after the previous 22-year-old soloist introduced "Come On Time" last June.

Through this song, Meiska claims that the theme of heartbreak she carries is not just an ordinary confused song, but has become her DNA in music.

"Seber Rasa" is a song he wrote himself written in April. The recording process was carried out in June, just two weeks after the recording "Come On Time".

Meiska said that the work on this single felt right, not too fast or slow, so it produced maximum work after going through the mixing and mastering process.

Meanwhile, the song tells the story of the bitterness of separation which was forced to be taken because one of the partners showed a change in attitude and seemed no longer interested.

The soloist who was born in Denpasar explained that this story focuses on the decision to separate for the common good.

"The story is about someone whose partner doesn't seem to be interested anymore. Finally, this person decides to separate because he feels that this relationship is not yet mature and cannot be continued in a more serious direction. If it can't be maintained anymore, it's better to separate for the common good," said Meiska in her statement, Monday, October 6th.

The idea of this song emerged when Meiska was feeling void and reflecting on a good separation, a situation that she thought was familiar in her environment.

"Events like this are certainly familiar with the environment around me, maybe I myself have experienced it," he added.

The unique thing about this single is the touch of the musical. Even though it still carries the theme of heartbreak, this song really highlights the elements of a band that are different from the previous Meiska confusing works. "You could say, 'It feels heavy' a bit different from other confused songs that I'm a bit relaxed because it can have a band feel. So, if you put it on the list off the water, it will bring a different atmosphere of confusion, sad but light, and it will be easy to sing with the audience," he explained.

Meiska even compared the nuances of this single with the top musicians. "If you wish, maybe this single is like Taylor Swift's songs that have a band feel, while for local musicians themselves, it can be said that it sounds quite like Geisha," he explained.

Meiska hopes "Heavy Taste" can cure the listeners' longing for their distinctive heartbreak song, accompany their moment of confusion, and can be sung together on stage.

When asked if he was worried that he would continue to be considered a singer who only performed the theme of heartbreak, Meiska showed high confidence. Instead, he sees this as an advantage.

"There is absolutely no worry because I feel that it is my strength, which is to perform a song with the theme of heartbreak and to be able to convey his message to people who listen," said Meiska.

"If people say that my song is always about confusion, that means that's my DNA. That's where you will find a Meiska," he said.
