JAKARTA - Doja Cat proudly presented his fifth album studio album titled Vie. Released via Kemosabe Records/RCA Records on September 26, Doja also included the new single he chose, titled Gorgeous.

This music video was directed and recorded in New York City by Bardia Zeinali (Justin Bieber / Sabrina Carpenter) and featured Yseult, Paloma Elsesser, Alex Consani, Irina Shayk, Amelia Gray, Ugbad, Ida Heiner, Mona Tougaard, Alek Wek, Karen Elson, Sora Choi, Imaan Hammam, and others.

There is an important reason why Vie was chosen as the album title this time. Apart from being related to roman numbers, there are also philosophical things that he put behind it.

The French word Vie (which translates into English: living) is my choice of wordplay, starting from the simple thing that this is my fifth album. I want to associate it with a tattoo of the Roman numbers five in the bones of my skeleton. In numerology, number five symbolizes curiosity, adventure, and change," explains Doja Cat in a written broadcast.

"I chose Vie as a tribute to La Vie en Rose and attributed it to romance themes. During this project, I interpreted love, sex, romance, suffering, and wonder in relationships. These songs can be applied to relationships with myself or others. I firmly believe in the meaning of the word Vie because without life there is no love, and without love there is no adventure. It is an adventure-packed album, and with homage and references to the 80s, 70s, and 90s, I want to give my personal modern touch, "he added.
