JADE Can't Get Royalties Even Though This Hits Song Is A Success, Why?

JAKARTA - Soloist JADE admits that he will not receive any royalties from his song titled Before You Break My Heart. This happened because he did sampling from a work from a well-known group, The Supremes.

JADE's debut solo album, That's Showbiz Baby!, was released last week. This album contains a number of hit singles such as FUFN and Angel Of My Dreams. Since its release, Before You Break My Heart immediately became a favorite among his fans.

The popularity of the song actually has financial consequences for JADE. The use of samples from the song 'Stop! In The Name Of Love' which was released in 1966, he could not receive royalties on his song.

Even though JADE agrees that the song has a special place in the hearts of fans. When interviewed by The Sun, he admitted that he did not expect it to happen.

"It's funny you say you like it, I didn't expect it to be a favorite," said JADE. But it's indeed the song that gets the most online attention," he added.

The former Little Mix member also confirmed that he did not receive royalties from there. He already knew about this consequence from the start.

"I didn't get any royalties for that song, that's how I got the permission," he said.

JADE has just released their debut album That's Showbiz, Baby! who received a positive response. But he didn't expect too high on the music chart because he faced a talented musician, Ed Sheeran. 'That's Showbiz Baby!' is currently in third place in the music chart in UK.

"Obviously Ed Sheeran who will be number one," said JADE realistic.
