The Story Behind The Tribute To Gusti Irwan Wibowo Show At Synchronize Fest 2025

JAKARTA - Synchronize Fest celebrates its tenth edition through a three-day event which will take place at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on October 3.4.5.

Of the many special appearances presented, the organizers chose to give a special presentation for the late Gusti Irwan Wibowo, a young musician who died on June 15, through a performance entitled A Tribute to Gusti Irwan Wibowo.

Aldila Karina as Director of Communication Synchronize Festival said this special performance idea first emerged from a casual conversation in the middle of a meeting with a number of musicians.

"So at that time I happened to be with other musician friends who had gathered. Then suddenly Morad said, 'Eh, sis, there is no plan to make a tribute for Gusti?'" said Aldila while speaking at a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 10.

Pamungkas responded immediately, who spontaneously expressed his readiness to be involved if the tribute to Gusti was really presented.

"Then that's it, next to him is Pamungkas. He said, 'If you make it, let's go,'" added Aldila.

From there, this tribute idea grew rapidly. The woman who is familiarly called Dila said the musicians immediately discussed who could be involved in the project.

"Then where did I come from? It was immediately mentioned that day," he said.

Not only at the discourse, but the musicians also moved quickly to contact the names that had been mentioned, so that they could be immediately involved.

"The next day, the children were immediately like, 'I'll talk to you later, I'll tell you.' Directly the children have mentioned the names,' said Dila.

Meanwhile, the honorary stage for Gustiwiw will present many musicians with the support of the KEBAS Bekasi community. Meanwhile, Konco Kongkow, which is a band formed with Gusti, will be present as an accompaniment.

"Tribute to Gusti is one of the cross-sections initiated by fellow musicians and is also driven by friends from KEBAS Bekasi. And Konco Kongkow, this band is Gusti and is still active today," concluded Dila.
