JAKARTA - Darmawan Hardjakusumah, also known as Acil Bimbo, died on Monday, September 1 night. The musician died at the age of 82.

The news was shared by music observer Adib Hidayat through upload X. Moments later Adhisty Zara, the actress who is also the grandson of the deceased, also confirmed.

Zara uploaded a photo of her grandfather on Instagram at around 11 pm. The photo explains that the deceased died at 22:13 pm.

Born in Bandung on August 20, 1943, Acil Bimbo began his career with Bimbo since 1966. He formed the group with Sam and Jaka, as a band of brothers.

Apart from being active in the music world, the deceased is also known to have been the chairman of an NGO "Bandung Spirit" which was founded in 2000 and is often involved in various social activities.

In November, he suffered a broken bone so he had to be hospitalized. After improving, the Khalik called him in early September.
