WAMI Responds To Ari Lasso's Complaints, Make Sure There Are No Errors In Distribution Of Royalties

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Music Council (WAMI) finally submitted an official response to the complaint of one of its members, Ari Lasso, who revealed an error in the royalty distribution report.

The statement was stated in WAMI's official letter to Ari Lasso which was signed by Adi Adrian as President Director.

The letter, which was then uploaded by Ari Lasso via Instagram, admitted that there was an error, even though it had used a quality control system.

WAMI sebagai Lembaga Manajemen Kolektif (LMK) telah menyiapkan sistem pengendalian kualitas (quality control) tata operasional kami, dengan tujuan mewujudkan proses kerja yang akurat dan zero error. Namun demikian, pada proses pengiriman email blast tanggal tersebut, terjadi human error dalam pengaduan alamat email dan file attachment, bunyi surat yang dibuat pada 12 Agustus itu.

The error, said WAMI, was caused by several report data that did not match the email address of the intended member, so that there were members who received the attachment to the report not on their own behalf.

Although there was an error in the report submission, WAMI ensured that the process and number of royalties received by Ari Lasso were not at all affected.

"We have ensured that this incident will not have an impact on the process or the amount of royalty transfer you received. However, we understand that this error causes inconvenience and inappropriate perception," WAMI said.

WAMI as an organization that maintains the dignity and trust of music-creator members will commit to making improvements, including tightening delivery procedures, layered verification, and improving systems so that similar errors do not occur in the future," he continued.

LMK The largest creator operating in Indonesia today hopes to meet directly with Ari Lasso for further discussions.

"As a form of good faith, we also want to invite you to meet and discuss directly with WAMI management, so that we can convey more detailed clarification, listen to your input, and discuss steps to improve that can be done together for the good of the Indonesian music ecosystem," he said.

"Thus we convey this explanation. We apologize for this incident and hope that the good relationship between WAMI and you can continue to be well established."
