JAKARTA - Black Sabbath bassistunger Butler, revealed his last memories with the late Ozzy Osbourne during a farewell concert at Villa Park, Birmingham earlier this July.

As is known, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath held a farewell concert on July 5. Only 17 days later, the vocalist died at his residence on July 22.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Butler admitted that he realized Osbourne had health problems, but he was surprised to see how fragile the vocalist was in his final days.

"I know his health isn't good, but I'm not ready to see how fragile he is," Butler said. "He was helped into the training room by two assistants and a nurse using a baton because he was Ozzy, his brain was black and gold and precious stones."

At the moment of the farewell concert exercise, Butler said the singer, nicknamed the Prince of Darkness, did not say much, apart from giving greetings and singing.

"He sat on a chair. We repeated the songs, but we realized that it made him tired after six or seven songs. We chatted for a while, but he was very quiet compared to the old Ozzy," said the 76-year-old bassist.

Not only during training, Butler admitted that he was not ready to see how fragile Ozzy Osbourne was at the last Black Sabbath concert.

"Usually, we're all going to hug and bow to the audience. But Ozzy has been around and we haven't thought about it. What should we do? Tony took his hand, I gave him a cake, but it feels really weird ending our story like that," Butler said.

"I hope to have more time backstage with Ozzy, but those hopes are no longer relevant now. As Ozzy said in the past: 'Hopefully in one hand and defecating in the other, then see which one is first.'"

The bassist added: "No one knows he will leave us just two weeks after the last show. But I am very grateful that we were able to play together for the last time in front of his beloved fans. The love of the fans and all the bands, musicians, singers and solo artists that night was truly extraordinary."
