Papermoon Puppet Theater Puppet Theater Present At Mount Series 1 Bromo Jazz

JAKARTA - A puppet theater show from Papermoon Puppet Theater was presented to start a series of Bromo's Mount Series 1 Jazz events which started its implementation at the Java Resort Jiwa Amphitheater Bromo, Probolinggo today, Saturday, July 19.

With the spirit of presenting an increasingly inclusive event, Mount Indonesia Jazz as a promoter, presents this puppet theater performance to be witnessed by children living around the venue.

Dozens of children from TK Tri Dharma and SD Negeri Jetak were guided by three actors from Papermoon Puppet Theater Yoga, Benny, and Pambo to walk through the village.

The Mbah Tani doll in the potato garden became the first character the children found. As the name suggests, Mbah Tani is the character of an old farmer.

Furthermore, after walking along the footpath, the children were invited to meet Mbah Kunta, a grandmother selling vegetables. In addition, there is also the character of a grandmother called Mbah Uti.

Then, the children were taken to an open area near the Javanese Soul Bromo to watch the puppet theater performance. The holding of the three actors made everyone laugh, not only children, but also adults who were also present.

This show is titled Before Sunrise (Before the Rising Sun), by making vegetables such as cauliflower, carrots, cucumber, terong as a medium to present attractions that make all spectators laugh.

After half an hour of appearance, the actors turned to talk sessions. They explain the intent of this show to the children present.

"Why are all the dolls old?" asked a child.

One of the actors who appeared, Yoga, explained that the characters presented described the conditions in their current place of origin "Batul, Yogyakarta" where most farmers are elderly parents.

"In our place, we happen to be the elderly farmers now. We want to introduce that old friends still have enthusiasm," said Yoga.

"And why is this also called 'Before Sunrise', because we want to appreciate farmers and anyone who has struggled to prepare all the food for us," added Yoga.

After shows and talk sessions, children are invited to make their own dolls using harvests such as potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, cucumbers, and terongs.

Meanwhile, the main show for Mount Series 1 Bromo Jazz will start at 15.00 WIB, with the appearance of Emptyyy. Next, will appear Jamie Aditya & The Mezzrollers, Kua Etnika, Love Is, Karimata, and RAN.

A puppet theater from Papermoon Puppet Theater will also be presented again tomorrow, Sunday, July 20 at 9.00 WIB.
