JAKARTA - Two bands from Bandung, for Revenge and Stand Here Alone, tried a new collaboration formula through a single entitled 'For You There (UKYdS)', which tells about a person's longing for a figure who has long been missing from his life.

According to Boniex, the vocalist for Revenge tells the story of a person's mental problems who feels alone, depressed, and his whereabouts are not considered by his surroundings.

Meanwhile, this collaboration idea came from Boniex, who had long been longing for collaboration in the recording studio with Stand Here Alone.

"We often meet on stage and collaborate several times at off water events. Therefore, I am interested in trying it in single form," Boniex said in his statement, Thursday, July 17.

For Boniex, for Revenge is quite often collaborating with soloists, while duets with other bands, this new formula is worth trying.

It feels like it's a challenge and a new experience. Because it's not just singing it, but we also wrote this single together. What's more, this collaboration will bring listeners with nostalgia to the 2000s era when the band started," said the vocalist.

In addition, Taufik Andryyansyah alias Mbenk Basis and vocalist Stand Here Alone confirmed that this collaboration project was sparked by Boniex's idea.

"This started with Boniex's invitation to make music together. He sent a raw demo, which was just music, and invited him to work together on something different. We immediately felt that we clicked and finally compiled a workshop schedule to write lyrics, compose notations, and build chemistry from the two music worlds which actually had different characters, but it turned out to be unified," said Mbenk.

From there, this collaboration felt more solid, especially when Samuel participated in completing his music arrangement. When the recording felt even more special because we first recorded it with a vocal director and it was done directly by Kamga. Really a very new experience for Stand Here Alone," he continued.

According to Boniex, this collaboration single managed to inject their own characteristics. Stand Here Alone brings a very thick pop-punk feel here and this is the first time for Revenge to have a pop-punk song. Besides the nostalgic feel, when you hear this song, a question will definitely arise Well, this is a song for Revenge?

Through this project, Boniex and Mbenk agree that cross band collaboration is not impossible, it can even be something fresh and powerful.

Two bands that have strong characteristics can actually unite, without covering each other's identities. This can be an example for others, that collaboration is not about who is dominant, but how to strengthen each other," said Mbenk.
