JAKARTA - A music festival titled Svara Fest 2025 was initiated by the National Creative Economy Movement (Gekrarfs) as a forum and inclusive space involving creative economy actors from MSMEs to musicians.

"We prioritize two creative economy sub-sectors, first the second bazaar of music, the focus is on wanting to become an inclusive forum for Gekraf to the public so that they can know what the ecosystem is in the creative economy and become a forum for expression," said Svara Fest's Festival Director and Gekraf Representative Lutfi Dipa at the 2025 Svara Fest press conference in Jakarta, citing ANTARA on Monday, June 23.

Svara Fest will be held at the Bung Karno Baseball Stadium on July 19-20, as part of a series of Gekraf First Congress events held on July 18-20. At this festival, various creative economy sub-sectors such as culinary, fashion, and crafts will be exhibited from MSMEs.

Lutfi said that Svara Fest can be a forum to revive and explore the creative industry which is currently a mainstay in donating state revenues from 17 sub-sectors, as well as introducing rich culture to cross-generational communities.

"I am talking about making an IP (intellectic property) festival, I think not only making it in Jakarta but God willing, it will be made in other cities, so the spirit of creative economic growth is not only in big cities but throughout Indonesia," he said.

One of the performers at Svara Fest, Niko Al Hakim, also known as Okinawa, said he saw the rapid development of the creative industry encouraging him to be involved in the Svara Fest music festival and wanted to drive the potential of the creative economy in Indonesia.

He also said that creative industry players, especially in the music world, no longer follow what is on the market, but currently creative works that form their own markets.

"I am interested because the vision is the same how to move creative economy because the more creative it is here, the more creative it is, if you listen a little different, the better it is than a little better, so the more food comes here, fashion is getting strangeer but creative, music is also not driven by the market, making macem-macem and creative that makes a new market," he said.

Lutfi also said that holding the Svara Fest at the Baseball Stadium will provide a different experience from music festivals in general because there are rarely festivals that use this venue.

In the Svara Fest Okin will return to appear with the previous band LYON which was fronted by Onadio Leonardo (vocals), Okin (bass), and Rudye Nugraha Putra (keyboards). This stage will be the first time LYON has appeared after a hiatus for several years. Not only with LYON, Okin will also appear with Nicky KAY with the OKAAY duo.

Besides Okin, a row of Indonesian musicians who will enliven the Svara Fest stage include Maliq & D Essentials, Sal Priadi, Tiara Andini, Ndarboy, The Lantis, Ardhito x Wijaya 80, Coldiac and Idgitaf.

Svara Fest tickets can be purchased at any ticket.com at a price of IDR 175 thousand for one day, and a 2-day ticket for IDR 275,000.
