Miley Cyrus Reveals Moments When Disney Bans Her From Playing Songs From Hannah Montana

JAKARTA - Miley Cyrus revealed her experience with Disney 14 years ago typing is prohibited from performing songs from the teen series Hannah Montana.

As is known, Cyrus became the main character in the Hannah Montana series which first aired in 2006. She plays a pop singer who hides her true identity from fans in order to live a normal life.

During his five-year broadcast, Cyrus released five Hannah Montana soundtrack albums, one live recording, and two remix albums.

He also released three solo albums on the Disney Hollywood record label before turning to RCA and releasing the album "Bangerz" which became the beginning of his music career success in 2013.

In a recent interview on The Ringer podcast, Cyrus stated, Disney forbade her to perform songs from the Hannah Montana era.

"It's not what I wanted, singing 'The Best of Body Worlds' between 'We Can't Stop' and 'Working Ball' won't make sense," Cyrus said, quoted by NME, Sunday, June 8.

Although the song from the Hannah Montana era was very different from her other hits, the 33-year-old singer felt strange about Disney's ban.

"Still sad to know the songs have sounds, faces, and I'm not allowed to sing them," he said.

Last year, Cyrus was sworn in as the youngest Disney Legend, and since then Disney has allowed her to sing songs from the Hannah Montana era.

"After being sworn in as Disney Legend, I was given permission to perform those songs in the future, which is pretty cool," said the pop star.

At the end of May, Miley Cyrus released her latest album with the title 'Something Beautiful', which signifies a major change in her musical journey.

The album is accompanied by a film that will be screened in theaters for just one night at the end of June.

The film was directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter.
