The judicial review of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright (UU Hak Cipta) at the Constitutional Court (MK) proposed by 29 singers members of the Indonesian Voice Vibration (VISION) will continue to the plenary session.
This was revealed through a letter from the Constitutional Court to Panji Prasetyo as the applicant's attorney on Friday, May 23 last week, regarding a summons to attend the plenary session.
"The Hakim Consultative Meeting has determined to hold the Plenary Session of Case Number 28/PUU-XXIII/2025 regarding Material Testing of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright," the letter reads.
The plenary session will be held on Friday, May 30 at 10.30 WIB with the agenda of hearing the statements of the DPR and the President as the legislators.
Responding to the plenary session, Panji as the applicant's attorney said that this indicated that the material test submitted by 29 singers was important.
"This means that the Constitutional Court needs further investigation by summoning the government and the DPR as the maker of the law. The application we submitted is important to continue, because this concerns legal certainty," Panji said when contacted by the media crew, Tuesday, May 27.
"The Constitutional Court's decision, we hope to stop the judicial action from several parties," he continued.

Earlier in the preliminary hearing on the agenda of improving the petition, constitutional judge Saldi Isra said that the requested judicial review that had been received would be discussed with other constitutional judges, to determine the next steps.
"The three of us will present the applicant to explain to other judges," said Saldi. Later we will leave it to all constitutional judges to have an opinion. If they say we still need to deepen the plenary and the majority agree to be brought to plenary (will be held plenary), but if the majority says this, there is no need for plenary and we already understand, yes, no plenary.
Meanwhile, the decision to have a plenary session will be further reported by the Constitutional Court next week.
"Developments will be notified to the applicant or the applicant's attorney through the clerk of the Constitutional Court," said Saldi. If this is held in plenary, for example, later all the parties who are fighting will come.
