The 2025 Soundsfest brought the late Glenn Fredly back on stage to cover the series of first-day performances taking place at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on Friday, May 23.
The songwriters and music producers who died on April 8, 2020, appeared through a performance entitled Glenn Fredly Live by The Bakuucakar: Holographic Performance.
The show started at 23.00 WIB, with the opening song performed by The Bakuucakar. After that, Glenn Fredly appeared on the big screen, and sang You Are My Everything.
The Bakuucakar drummer Rayendra Sunito said Glenn on the screen sang the playback of the live performances he had performed during his lifetime.
"It was a recording of him (Glenn Fredly) playing live. We collected it, then we arranged it for tonight's performance," said Rayendra, met backstage before performing.
Rayendra said, this is the second time for The Bakuucakar to play the holographic performance concept with Glenn on stage.
"We've only brought this once, at the 25-year concert Glenn Fredly. Actually, he planned the concert from afar, before he left us all," he said. "So, after he left us all, we still intend to run the concert. The 25-year concert in Ancol was with a hologram. We will do it again tonight."
If previously featured in a single concert in a closed room, this time The Bakuucakar performed it at a music festival in an open room.
