Yovie Widianto Values Audience Support To Kahitna Has A Larger Value Than Royalties

JAKARTA - The concert with the title Boyz II Men & Kahitna Live in Jakarta took place at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, May 21 evening. This show was attended by thousands of spectators who filled the arena for more than three hours, with dozens of hits from Boyz II Men and Kahitna.

This show managed to bring together two icons of romantic music from different countries. The warmth was so felt from every audience who together sang, even since the beginning of the show.

Kahitna takes over the stage early. Appearing in a complete formation, they perform their best songs, including 'Waiting', 'Love Story', 'If He Knows', 'For me', 'Soulmate', 'Love Alone', to 'Beautiful'.

Although most people were present to see the Boyz II Men, they still enjoyed every repertoire brought by Kahitna. The enthusiasm for Yovie Widianto cs is no less lively than the Philadelphia group.

On the sidelines of his appearance, Yovie thanked the audience. He felt that during the 39 years of Kahitna's musical journey, support was always given by fans.

"Even though Kahitna has been around for decades, until now there are still many viewers who are still in junior high school. I am confused," said Yovie.

"But what is clear is not only because of the song, not only because of the music, but we are lucky to have you guys who love our works," added the Kahitna frontman.

Yovie really appreciates all the support fans give. In this show, he also felt that the audience was so enthusiastic about singing together. For him, what the audience did has such high value.

"And that's a much larger value than the royalties I received," he said, greeted by laughter from several viewers.

Sharing the stage with big names like Boyz II Men, Yovie saw the support that the audience still gave Kahitna, as proof that Indonesian music is no less good and beautiful.

"I think in the future it will definitely be better, we will try everything to be better. And this is proof that friends respect Indonesian music," said Yovie.

"Indonesia's music has a tremendous effect, all over the world. I believe that," he added.

For information, last night's Boyz II Men & Kahitna Live in Jakarta concert was only one of two scheduled shows. The two icons of romantic music between countries will also appear tonight, with all tickets sold out.
