JAKARTA - After opening a new era of the album 'ELEKTIKO' with the single Today in collaboration with the Indies, Isyana Sarasvati introduced the latest single with the title FRENEMY. This time, Isyana chose VIDI as her duet partner.

Different from Today which is more melancholic, FRENEMY comes more cheerful and upbeat. This song captures the dynamics of friendship which is often colored by quarrels, but instead makes the relationship closer and more irreplaceable.

"FREEMY is a playful song about love-hate relationships full of drama, but always forgive each other. Like Tom and Jerry, they always get back together, and that's proof of the strength of their friendship," said Isyana about her new single, through a press release to VOI, Monday, May 19.

The song itself was co-written by Isyana and Vidi, with the help of American musician Josh Gabbard, who acts as producer.

With the friendship of Isyana and Vidi that has existed for a long time, "FRENEMY" has become an overflow of spontaneity, boredom, and honesty in the form of refreshing music.

Meanwhile, this new single is still part of the Lunora chapter on the album EKLETIKO. This song was released as a form of celebration for the creativity and freedom of expression that will be carried out in the upcoming new album.

"This journey (album) begins with Lunora, where I invite three Indonesian male musicians to explore together, celebrate the beauty of collaboration in diversity," said Isyana.

"Difference is not an obstacle, that's where the magic lies, because life becomes beautiful with diversity," he added.

The album 'ELEKTIKO' itself has four main chapters Lonora, Mamiu, Cecilia, and Century each representing various personas, phases of life, and musical directions that have shaped Isyana's identity to date.

For information, Isyana Sarasvati's 'FRENEMY' with VIDI can already be heard on various digital music platforms. While the music video can be seen on Isyana Sarasvati's YouTube channel.
