Josh Freese Confesses To Be Fired By Foo Fighters: I'm Not Angry, Just A Little Disappointed

The Foo Fighters apparently haven't found the right replacement to fill Taylor Hawkins' position who passed away in 2022. Josh Freese, the drummer who has been with them for two years, has just revealed that he was fired.

Replacing Taylor's energy and figure is certainly not an easy matter. But technically playing games and musical experiences, Josh feels right to fill the void.

Unfortunately not, he only lasted two years before being kicked out of the band. In fact, he revealed, Foo Fighters did not tell the reason he was dismissed.

"Foo Fighters called me Monday night and told me they agreed to 'want to take a different direction for the drummer position. There is no reason whatsoever they convey," Freese wrote in his post, May 16.

With the joint experience of several bands including Guns N' Roses, Josh Freese stated that the dismissal did not anger him at the Foo Fighters personnel. He admits that he has been a loyal fan of them for decades.

"I'm not angry just a little surprised and disappointed. But I'm fine. Later there will definitely be a list of the Top 10 Reasons Why Josh was kicked out of Foo Fighters," he said jokingly.

In closing, he gave support to Dave Grohl et al to continue to be a legend. He did not regret the decision to be part of the Foo Fighters even though it was only for a moment.

"I've enjoyed the last two years with them, and I support everything they think is best for the band," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters also recently announced that he would appear at the F1 Grand Prix in Singapore on October 4. Apart from Dave Grohl et al, the event will also be enlivened by the king of K-Pop, G-Dragon.
