Chris Brown Arrested In Manchester For Alleged Physical Violence Against A Music Producer

JAKARTA - The singer-songwriter from the United States, Chris Brown, was reported to have been arrested by the Metropolitan Police at The Lowry Hotel, Manchester, England on Thursday, May 15 at 2 a.m. local time.

The 36-year-old musician was arrested on suspicion of physical violence against a music producer named Abraham Diaw, in London two years ago, just hours after arriving in the city on a private jet.

He has been detained at where he lives. The arrests were linked to an incident at a place in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023, "he continued.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the legal case involving the 'under The Influence' singer was led by detectives from the Central West Regional Basic Command Unit.

Diaw has also filed a civil lawsuit. He demanded Brown for compensation of 16 million (Rp351.83 billion) for injuries and losses suffered as a result of the alleged incident.

Brown himself will start his tour titled Breezy Bowl XX in Europe next month. He will appear in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on June 8. Then, proceed to two cities in Germany, Hamburg and Frankfurt.

Furthermore, Brown will hold performances to several cities in Great Britain, including Manchester and London.

Done in Europe and Great Britain, Chris Brown will continue his Breezy Bowl XX tour to North America.

So far, it is not known how Brown's arrest will affect his tour this time in Europe and the United Kingdom.
