Stereowall Is Getting More Mature On The Second Album, Ready To Embrace Deepest Feelings

Stereowall released the second full album, Foreigner (Doc. Musica Studios)

JAKARTA - The journey of an alternative rock music unit from Jakarta, Stereowall entered a new chapter. After spending the first years full of twists and turns with the EP Never Ending Drama (2016) and then continuing to the album debut of Prologue in 2023, they are now presenting their second album.

The band containing these five personnel also presented Foreigners to listeners. This second full album was officially released on April 30, 2025 on all digital music platforms.

Stereowall presents Foreigners as a more daring thematic and musical exploration. This album is a reflection of emotional travel to get out of a toxic relationship, both in romance, friendship, and social relations with a more personal and honest lyric approach.

Membering Cynantia Pratita (vocals), Rama Mayristha (guitar), Usay (guitar), Ramadhan Satria (bass), and Reiner (keyboard/synth), Stereowall showed their maturity from a technical point of view and 'flavour'.

Slightly different from habits, on this album Stereowall embeds a total of seven songs, consisting of six Indonesian songs and one English song. The songs are composed like a chapter in a novel, depicting complex phases: from injury, anger, frustration, to acceptance.

A total of three songs, namely EMO, Sabotage Jiwa, and Setiap Imagination, have been released in advance throughout 2024 and had created great anticipation through pieces of lyrics shared on social media.

The track titled Foreigner was chosen as the main single as well as the climax representation of the album narrative. With sharp lyrics, this song depicts a conscious moment when someone starts to question, even laughing, the reason for maintaining a relationship that has been painful.

The music video for the song Foreigner is played directly by Cynantia Pratita. Through visual order and cinematography, he tried to visualize feelings where joy and many colors were present around before finally turning into foreigners.

Released just as the band entered its 13th anniversary since its formation on September 16, 2012, confirming that Foreigners are the most expressive albums of their careers. With a more straightforward voice, the arrangement remains explosive, and the personal, foreign lyric approach represents maturity.
