Denny Chasmala Questions Lyodra's Silence After Bringing An Unlicensed Song, Will It Continue Like Ari Bias Vs Agnez Mo?

JAKARTA - Lyodra Ginting is one of the young singers highlighted by songwriter Denny Chasmala. The singer who graduated from Indonesian Idol was said to have no respect for the songwriter he performed on stage.

Although Denny has publicly criticized Lyodra, who is said to have performed the song 'Hopefully Not Separate' without permission, there has also been no response given.

Denchas, his nickname, said that Lyodra's attitude did not show the right adab as a singer, apart from Andien who was criticized and immediately apologized.

"A class of Andien is still calling me and he's sorry. I'm happy (I'm sorry). I'm very happy, showing that Andien has ethics," said Denchas at Pondok Indah, South Jakarta recently.

"For Lyodra, I don't know if she responded or not. Actually, it's the easiest, Whatsapp is like that," he continued.

The media crew had tried to ask for information from Lyodra regarding Denchas' statement, but the 21-year-old singer refused to respond.

When asked further whether the dissatisfaction with Lyodra's response would proceed with legal steps such as what Ari Bias did to Agnez Mo Denchas admitted that he had not thought that far.

"Oh no, if the Ari Bias case must prove the law," said Denchas. "Yes, maybe Ari Bias will be the first and last person to prove that songwriters must be protected."

In early March, Denchas stated the ethics of a young singer whom he said had no respect for songwriters. Even though at that time he did not mention names, he said there were singers who took advantage of the popularity of his songs when appearing on stage.

There are still young singers who use my songs. He had one or two hits, during the concert, he didn't get permission, he used my song. My song became a joke, the audience sang," said DenChas.

"That's not my respect. I won't mention his name. So, that culture is what I think we should tell the singer. Let me know first," he added.

Two weeks later, Denchas finally revealed that the young singer in question was Lyodra Ginting.

"When it comes to the issue of Andien or Lyodra, I actually don't mind that he wants to use my song. But don't forget, he didn't give permission to me, because it's very easy, just (send via message) WhatsApp," he concluded.
