JAKARTA - The Java Festival Production as the organizer will again pamper jazz lovers by announcing the 20th anniversary of the Jakarta International BNI Java Jazz Festival 2025 (BNI JJF2025).

Similar to previous years, this year's event will last for three days on weekends, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, May 30 - June 1.

Dewi Gontha as President Director of the Java Festival Production stated that her party wanted to make JJF 2025 an event capable of having a positive impact on Indonesia.

"Recently, there are a lot of bad news, we want Java Jazz to provide positive news to Indonesia," said Dewi during a press conference in Senayan, Central Jakarta on Wednesday, March 19.

Reflecting on the two decades of the journey of one of the largest jazz music festivals in Asia, Dewi continued, "It turned out that in 2008 when we were still at the JCC, we had 20 stages for 3 days with 241 shows. When we looked at the data, we were surprised too, how come in 2008 there were 241 shows. And for us, it's an interesting achievement.

Still maintaining JJF as one of the major festivals, Dewi said that there will be 11 stages prepared this year, by presenting around 30 foreign performers and dozens of domestic performers.

Meanwhile, foreign performers who have been confirmed to appear include Jacob Collier, Raye, Tune Baiyewu, Snarky Puppy, Lettuse, Thevie Wonder Celebration, Jose Miguel, Jeff Lorber, BPM (Brian Bromberg, Paul Brown, Michael Paulo), Tony Monaco, Kamasi Washington, Brian Simpson, Jesus Molina, Shakakak, Yun Seok Cheol Trio, and many more.

Meanwhile, domestic performers include Endah N Rhesa Extended, Nyoman Paul, Rahmania Astrini, Rieka Roslan & Nada Dara, Rizky Febian, Rony Parulian, 80, Jordan Susanto, Nonaria x Horns Big Band, Aib Show, Syahravi and The Lantis, and many more to be announced in the near future.

Again talking about JJF's two-decade journey, Dewi said, "Twenty years is a journey full of beautiful memories, jokes, laughter, and tears. Java Festival production expresses deep gratitude to all those who have supported the festival ... Without your support, the Java Festival Production will not be able to reach this point."
