Liam Payne Signals One Direction Reunion

JAKARTA - Again, the One Direction reunion signal is turned on. After Harry Styles responded to the idea of a reunion, this time his oldest member, Liam Payne, did the same. On April 9, Payne spoke to The Sun about the possible reunion of One Direction to celebrate the British group's decade.

Since deciding on a hiatus four years ago, Directioners - as One Direction fans are called - have always asked for reunions through each member's social media. After the hiatus, the four members - Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan - developed careers as solo singers.

Directioners are still there, because all the solo projects carried out are considered to be selling and of course build fans' longing for their idols. "We will celebrate 10 years from now so that we communicate a lot in recent weeks," said Payne in the interview session.

Even so, this ex-girlfriend of Cheryl Tweedy doesn't want to tell more about the idea and the conversation. Payne only mentioned that some ideas were being pursued with the other members and that they were trying to find a suitable time so they could reunite together. It is known, three members of One Direction; Styles, Tomlinson and Horan are on a world tour, but had to be postponed - while the entire Horan tour was canceled - due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic.

Payne admitted, he and One Direction members often saw their old content. Recently, Payne even uploaded a video of his reaction while watching an old One Direction video. "This is interesting," he replied when asked about it.

Previously, last month, Styles was asked about the idea of a reunion via video call. The Adore You singer found the idea interesting but it was not an idea like that that One Direction members imagined.

There is no word on whether Zayn - a former One Direction member - will take part in the reunion. What is clear, this news is very much awaited by fans. After discussing the reunion, now fans can expect more.

One Direction are one of the biggest groups on the international music scene. Releasing several albums and several documentaries, the name One Direction cannot be separated from X Factor, where they were first discovered.

Liam Payne is so grateful about everything he and One Direction did that each member had the opportunity to make their own music. Payne himself has just released a single song (single) entitled Midnight with DJ Alesso. The success achieved by each member makes them a musician to be reckoned with.
