Black Clouds Cover The Realm Of Loud Music In The Country, Boomerang Bassist Hubert Henry Dies

JAKARTA - The world of loud music in the country is grieving. One of his best sons, Hubert Henry Limahelu, passed away today, Saturday, April 24.

The news of Henry's death was revealed by Boomerang management. In their uploads on Instagram @Boomerang_Official they wrote:

"Goodbye Hubert Henry Limahelu. All your # stories and works will always be a color for us all. May #Back in God's protection in Heaven. Our Prayers We Will Always Be With You."

Before he died, the bassist and vocalist of the band Boomerang had a brain nerve vessel rupture and a coma. He was treated at the Husada Hospital in Surabaya, East Java.

A number of musicians, including two former Boomerang personnel; John Paul Ivan and Roy Jeconiah, raised funds through two different music events. This was done to ease the medical costs needed by Henry.

Henry is the only original Boomerang personnel left since the band was abandoned by John Paul Ivan and vocalist Roy Jeconiah.

This tattooed and fierce-looking man tried to keep Boomerang's pulse by recruiting Tommy Maran as guitarist and keeping Farid Martin as drummer. Henry himself then took on the vocal role left by Roy.

This formation gave birth to the album Reforestation in 2012. One of the songs, Still Stand, describes Henry's efforts to maintain the existence of the band that was born in Surabaya in 1991.

Boomerang's final lineup consists of Henry (bass / vocals), Farid (drums), Tommy (guitar), and Andi babas (vocals). They produced one album, Harmoni not Uniform in 2014.

So many stories that you wrote for Indonesian music, Henry Hubert. Goodbye, rest in peace. Your works will last forever.
