Lady Gaga Reveals Dream Of Collaborating With John Lennon

JAKARTA - Lady Gaga is celebrating the release of her new studio album titled Mayhem. Together with fans, she also held a special press conference which was also hosted by her own fans.

The 38-year-old singer talked a lot about her latest album. But on the sidelines, Gaga got questions about her dream collaborator, both alive and dead.

"I think it's John Lennon," Gaga said, answering fan questions, reported by NME, Sunday, March 9.

For him, John Lennon was not only a big person as a musician, but also known for his kindness.

"I think she has such a beautiful heart and I think it's one of my favorite things in music history, that is when you don't just remember an artist because of his music, but you remember it because of his heart," said the singer with the birth name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.

Gaga proved her words were not just pleasantries. He showed a tattoo of peace on his wrist.. This peace sign is right off the 72nd street near Dakota, where he (Lennon) died, "said Gaga.

The sign of peace is there every day and Yoko will put flowers outside. I got this tattoo because of that. I never forget what he was fighting for and that's what I fought for too," he continued.

Gaga's confession this time of her admiration for Lennon is not the first. The 'Bad Romance' singer once compared himself to Lennon, saying he struggled to be really happy with his songs.

"I've always been unhappy with what I'm making," he said. Although I might tell you that Edge Of Glory is a pop masterpiece, when everything is said and solved, there will be things I'm afraid of.

Gaga continued, "In John Lennon's interview with Playboy (1980), he talked about how he hated certain songs because of the way they were finished. And those songs might be my favorite songs, but Lennon couldn't listen to them."

In 2012, Gaga was awarded the Lennonono Grant For Peace by Yoko Ono. He also performed the song "Imagine" at the opening of the inaugural European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2015.
