Charli XCX Reaps Gemilang Achievement, Former School Joins Proudness

JAKARTA - Charli XCX managed to attract the attention of the British public, after winning five awards at the 2025 Brit Awards.

John Maguire, Principal Bishop's Stortford College in Hertfordshire where Charli studied also commented by calling the 32-year-old singer as an extraordinary student.

Meanwhile, Charli studied at Bishop's Stortford College between 1999-2010, which is part of the Benson House.

In his confession, Maguire called Charli a talented, determined, independent student, and worked hard in everything, whether in academic matters, sport, or especially art.

"On the hockey field, Charli is a force to be reckoned with, and regularly plays as part of the core team," Maguire said, citing the BBC, Thursday, March 6.

"From the start following the musical subjects, he showed great skills as a composer. And through his music, he communicated the same love for life that he brought to everything he did at school," he continued.

Seeing Charli's success as a musician, Maguire highlighted the importance of learning aeni taught in schools.

"His success shows the importance of music in schools - he is not the only Kolese alumni who have a record contract. Incidentally, the Stars in their Eyes 2025 concert took place at Bishop's Stortford College this week, where Charli XCX will be found next," he concluded.
