Ahmad Dhani Calls Agnez Mo's Unrespectful Attitude Of Song Creators To Be The Root Of Problems

JAKARTA - Ahmad Dhani does not want to talk much about the legal perspective of the Ari Bias and Agnez Mo cases. According to him, legal issues are in the realm of the court.

The Dewa 19 frontman chose to highlight Agnez Mo's behavior, who said he was not friends with Ari Bias, the songwriter 'Just Cross', which marked Agnez's early career as an adult singer.

"This is a problem, because Agnez doesn't respect the creator of the song, it's not even considered a friend anymore," Dhani told the media crew in Senayan, Central Jakarta last week.

As a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission X, Dhani feels it is his duty to highlight Agnez's behavior, which he calls should not be an example for other musicians.

"As a member of the legislature, I must provide good education to Indonesian citizens, that what Agnez is doing, its dialect and its adaptation to these creators is not good, it should not be imitated by the new singers or juniors," said Dhani.

"I have to give my opinion on that. If it's an opinion about the law, I'm not participating. The opinion about the law has been sentenced by the judge, especially now that the criminal process has been processed at Bareskrim. I don't talk about the law, what for. I'm just commenting on ethics, etiquette, dialectics, culture towards songwriters, so that things like Agnez don't happen again," he continued.

Furthermore, Dhani believes that not many other singers support Agnez, where the singer of 'Party in Bali' seems to cut ties with songwriters who have contributed to his music career.

"So, most singers don't agree with Agnez's ways of not meeting songwriters," he concluded.
