Not Recovered From The Pain, Gracie Abrams Cancels Two Shows In England

JAKARTA - Gracie Abrams again gave bad news for her fans. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter had to cancel two shows in England for The Secret of Us Tour.

Through Instagram Story, the singer of I Know It Won't Work uploaded a letter with handwriting that reported that he had to cancel the performances in Nottingham and Leeds, which were scheduled for March 3 and 4, local time.

"I don't like having to write this again so quickly," wrote Abrams, opening a letter about the cancellation of the show.

Abrams said the illness he had suffered in the last few days prevented him from appearing on stage.

"Unfortunately, I am still battling this disease and it has been suggested that I cannot appear for the next two nights. I cannot reveal how devastated my heart is," Abrams added.

Abrams did not explain the details of the illness, but the same illness had also made an cancellation in Brussels, Belgium on February 28.

At that time, Abrams reported that he had been battling something severe over the past week. Despite doing everything in its power to overcome it, his illness has come to a point where all the medical advice received says he cannot perform and needs rest.

"This trend is something I have dreamed of ever since this album was released, and the shows we've played so far mean a lot to me," Abrams said.

"Once we hear concrete details about these two shows in your city, we will contact you soon. Know that I will do whatever it takes to be with you. Thank you for the understanding. I sent all my deepest love and regret."

So far, Abrams has canceled three shows for The Secret of Us Tour. He last appeared in front of fans in Paris, France on February 27.

For another upcoming show, Abrams is scheduled to appear in London (March 6), Manchester (March 7), Cardiff (March 8), Dublin (March 10), and Glasgow (March 12).

Furthermore, the tour will continue to Asia and Australia in April-May, then return to Europe and North America.
