Agnez Mo Signs Forward Cassation For His Case With Ari Bias

Agnez Mo, through an Instagram Story upload, finally talked about the civil lawsuit filed by Ari Bias at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court.

As is known, the panel of judges at the first level has partially granted Ari Bias's lawsuit and found Agnez Mo guilty of copyright infringement. The 38-year-old singer was also required to pay a loss fine of Rp. 1.5 billion.

However, after no statement for almost two weeks, Agnez via Instagram Story finally signaled the legal action taken over the Commercial Court's decision.

With a black background, Agnez wrote 'Casation' and gave a green tick.

In another upload - although he did not mention Ari Bias' name and directly referred to Agnez's court decision - he spoke about his stance.

"Strengthening to the real truth is never easy. No matter how precise and fair our stance is, there will always be people who choose to misunderstand and twist words," Agnez wrote, citing his statement on Thursday, February 13.

They even attack our characters all because of greed and their personal interests. However, the real danger comes from those who loudly shout 'demen justice' but their behavior is contradictory. Without being shy about spreading lies for the sake of lies," he continued.

The singer, who is now based in the United States, also spoke about people who dared to speak up, by mentioning the names of Melly Goeslaw and Armand Maulana.

"Not many people have the courage to speak out against the blatant corruption that erodes and also opposes a legally binding decision. That's why I have great respect for Teh Melly, Kang Armand and several other people who refuse to remain silent," he said.

'It takes true strength to fight strong currents, especially when manipulators try to attack personal integrity because of their reckless efforts to control the narrative. However, hopefully this incident will serve as a reminder that: The truth will always find its way.'
