JAKARTA - In February, which is synonymous with the month of affection was used by Yovie & Nuno to launch their newest single. They present a remake of the first old song released in 2007, Bunga Badminton.

According to Muchamad Ahadiyat, or Diat, who fills in the guitar, the idea of remaking the Yovie & Nuno hit was proposed by Yovie Widianto himself along with the management. From there, the band members also discussed choosing several old songs and one of them was chosen Bunga Badminton.

One of the reasons we chose this song was because in terms of lyrics and notation, it still feels like a relationship to be heard nowadays and by anyone. Finally, we decided to record an old song with different arrangements and voice colors because our new vocalist has different characters and timbre from the previous vocalist," explained Diat in a press release received by VOI, February 7.

"The arrangement is arguably quite different, especially in terms of rhythm, bass lines, and also the ornaments of complementary instruments," said Ady Julian, the keyboardist.

Re-singing the remake of this hit song is clearly one of the fun things for Chico Andreas as the newest Yovie & Nuno vocalist. Instead of being burdened, he is actually happy to be able to give a more modern touch to their old hits.

"Just take fun so that the singing can be carried away with flowers. I myself am also not worried about how this song will later be accepted by Teman Yovie Nuno, either old or new, because the characteristics and colors of Yovie & Nuno are not lost, only made more contemporary."

Slightly different from Chico, Adhyra Yudhi (vocalist) said that singing this song did put a challenge in itself for him, but he believed in one thing.

If you do anything with all your heart, including singing a song, the results will definitely reach the hearts of the listeners. What's more, we are assisted by the great people in their fields to do this single so that the recording process feels easy. I myself feel excited because I am trusted to give a new color to this song. Hopefully a more modern arrangement with my vocal character and Chico in this song can bring listeners to know the new color in Yovie & Nuno.

Adhyra and Chico have the same hope that this will be a soundtrack for those who are in love and make feelings more flowerful. Yovie & Nuno's latest single, Bunga Badminton, can already be heard on digital music platforms starting February 7th.
