Coachella Team Create Temporary Hospital For COVID-19 Patients

JAKARTA - After the event was canceled, the Coachella team racked their brains to keep working well. Not making other music events, of course, but making triage tents and a temporary hospital for victims affected by COVID-19 or the corona virus.

Previously, Coachella was scheduled to attend April 10-12 and April 17-19, but in March, the team decided to postpone the event as the corona pandemic broke out. New dates are issued which are 9-11 October and 16-18 October. While waiting for the event, the Coachella team uses its capabilities to help fight the spread of the virus.

The production team Choura Events and Gallagher Staging are the two teams that control the big stages of music festivals such as Coachella and sporting events. This time the two of them synergized by optimizing their facilities to build temporary tents and hospitals.

They made the facilities needed in California to anticipate an increase in corona virus patients. “We turned quickly into a responsive relief team. If we don't know how to manage Coachella (due to the pandemic), I can't build this hospital, "Ryan Choura, owner of Choura Events, told The LA Times.

This initiation occurred when Choura saw first-hand how COVID-19 patients arrived and saw what kind of condition he was, so he intended to do something. So far, they have created one of four planned medical sites in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Gallagher Staging provided assistance in the form of making facilities for patients, such as mattresses and hospital structures in the Bay Area. The plan, they will add four similar facilities in Los Angeles.

“We are in a fast-paced industry than anyone else. We can make a city empty. We can build a small town in a day or two, and that's what is needed right now, ”said a representative for Gallagher Staging.

The two companies work hand in hand to provide their best in order to reduce the fast rate of patient growth. The latest update, the corona virus cases in the United States reached 245,373 cases with 6,095 deaths and 10,403 declared cured.

Apart from the efforts to fight COVID-19, Coachella will celebrate its 20th year by showing the documentary Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert. This documentary will air for free via their YouTube channel on April 10.
