Troye Sivan And Alan Walker Release Songs In The Middle Of The COVID-19 Pandemic

JAKARTA - The postponement or even the cancellation of a number of stage activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic or the corona virus has made musicians rack their brains to stay productive. In addition to fundraising and live streaming, some of them chose to keep releasing songs, including Troye Sivan and Alan Walker.

While other music activists avoided launching songs amid the coronavirus outbreak, Troye Sivan chose to award a single song for those who isolated themselves at home. The track, entitled Take Yourself Home, was announced through its social media.

This is the latest music project from the former YouTube star after releasing the album Bloom for the last time in 2018. Initially, Take Yourself Home was not scheduled to be released now, but because Sivan was sad to see fans who were self-quarantining, this song was finally launched on April 1 yesterday.

The singer from Perth also paid the freelancers who participated in the composing of this song so that they would still have money even though they were short on projects. Meanwhile, the proceeds from the sale of the merchandise will be donated to victims of COVID-19.

Take Yourself Home is an upbeat ballad track that's mellow in summer. The atmosphere of the song also sounds right with the current situation. "I'm tired of the city, scream if you're with me." (I'm tired of this town, scream it if you feel like me)

Apart from Troye Sivan, there is DJ Alan Walker who released a single song titled Heading Home. From the title, there is a harmonious nuance as offered by Sivan in the song earlier. This song featuring singer Ruben's vocals sounds emotional.

This electronic ballad nuanced song is presented with a lyric cut; "And the city outside's, not the same anymore." (And outside the city is not the same anymore).

Previously, the release of a song or album in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic was carried out by The Weeknd and Dua Lipa. Both of them think their music can entertain fans who can't go out of the house.
