Morgan And Two Of His Personal SIPS At EP Emotional Gangsters

JAKARTA - Morgan returned with his second EP titled "Emotional Gangster" which was released through Red Bull Records. The mini album is filled with music with captivating rhythms that combine various genres ranging from R&B, pop, to dance hall.

With a total of six songs, this EP also features a single reggae from Morgan, "Bum Bum", played on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss, Apple Music 1, and Capital Xtra, as well as their second song, "Wheel Up", a dancehall collaboration with Byron Messia, which premiered as DJ Target's Target Embargo and became Record Of The Week in 1Xtra.

The "Emotional Gangster" opens with a pop song titled Stay Hydrated which depicts Morgan's work ethic that never gives up, wrapped in captivating R&B production. This song is a symbol of persistence, providing a positive energy that is suitable for entering the motivational playlist. Bum Bum presents a fresh interpretation of Sister Nancy's classic song "Bam Bam", where Morgan proudly combines her cultural heritage in a colorful work.

In this EP, you will feel my pain, my happiness, laughter, and tears. But most importantly, you will feel connected to who I really am. This is the most meaningful collaborative journey, and I am very grateful to everyone who has made it happen. This EP is an invitation to you to enter my house, my heart, and my heart."

Wheel Up is a collaboration with singer-writer Byron Messia, known for her single hit "Talibans". By combining dancehall and pop elements, this song is a tribute to the Jamaican wave music scene which also shows the pride of Morgan's culture. This song managed to become a Track of the Week by The Guardian and BBC 1Xtra by Kaylee Golding.

In collaboration with British legend Shakka, 'Mercy' is a futuristic and emotional work of R&B, where Morgan expresses deep interest in someone, creates intimate nuances, which are suitable to listen to at night.

At a slower tempo, Morgan also presented the Reverse', a cinematic song that explores the complexity of past love. With a voice that emits pain but is full of determination, Morgan combines vulnerability and strength to reveal the impact of a broken heart experience.
