Collaboration With Bara Suara, Effects Of Greenhouse Expanding Listener Segment

JAKARTA - The Greenhouse (ERK) and Barasuara effects have again collaborated in a series of Cross-Resonant performances. They will visit Bandung, Semarang and South Tangerang in July and August.

Previously, the Greenhouse and Barasuara Effects had collaborated several times and appeared on one stage together, including at last year's Partypora.

For Cholil Mahmud as ERK's frontman, collaboration with Bara Suara is a profitable thing. He felt that the listeners' segment was wider when collaborating with younger groups.

"Maybe if people look at ERK's seniority more than just a voice, but in reality we are benefiting from the voices of the listeners," said Cholil Mahmud in Cikini, Central Jakarta last week.

"So, it's mutual together. The point is the benefits for us to be able to penetrate young music listeners. To be honest, there was a distance between music listeners in my era and the Bara voice era," he continued.

Cholil saw that the types of performances that ERK and Bara had previously attended were quite different. But now both of them can fill each other.

Lebih dari itu, Cholil melihat ERK menjadi lebih dekat dengan penikmat musik dari kalangan anak muda. Dia merasa hal tersebut sulit untuk dicapaikan tanpa berkolaborasi dengan musisi dan kelompok yang memang menguasai segmen anak muda saat ini.

"Maybe if we don't collaborate, it's hard to reach. But with our collaboration so we can, a little more ERK listeners know Barasuara, and others also have the same benefits," said Cholil.

Taking for example the collaboration between ERK and Bara Suara, Cholil saw not only the personnel of the two groups who were closer, but also the fans.
