JAKARTA - Goddess is the right proof of fan expectations for Laufey. After the success of the album Bewitched (2023) and the first victory at the Grammys last February, the singer from Iceland comes in deep pain in her new single.

Laufey, do you want a hug? wrote a fan in the comment column of the TikTok Laufey account.

The comments clearly illustrate what will be felt when you hear Goddess, the ballad of a young woman who is hurt by love. Laufey expressed his disappointment from the start of the song.

Goddess starts slowly and thinly. The inner vocals of Laufey are accompanied by a simple piano game.

Slowly, the tension of the song increased as it headed for the chorus. Entering the new section, the beautiful arpepgio game mixes with the melodic of the song.

Pain and anger did not stop until the last part of the song. Tension continues to increase with additional strings.

Laufey makes use of the song's four and a half minutes of perfect duration. The dynamic structure of the song and the emotional game that is displayed through the choice of words in the lyrics, is far from boring.
