JAKARTA - Known as a bass player from the band Polka Wars, XANDEGA debuted as a soloist by releasing a single titled DAWG WITHIN.

The musician, whose full name is Xandega Tahajuansya, wrote his debut single himself. The work he created was inspired by the so-called imposter syndrome, a designation for people who do not have confidence and tend to feel inappropriate for his achievements.

The story of this song is experienced by XANDEGA himself. He felt the 10-year journey of music was full of depressed things, because he was delaying in pursuing his dream of becoming a fully artist.

For the nuances of music presented, DA DAWG WITHIN combines dance music and pop singing, inspired by other musicians such as Joji or James Blake.

DA DA DAWG WITHIN arrangement results from observations made by XANDEGA over the past year, where he plays dance music in various genres at a fast tempo.

Despite writing and producing his own songs, XANDEGA was also assisted by several other musicians. He was directed by Emir AM from White Chorus and BAP. Meanwhile, Erik Soto did the mixing and mastering process.

Through this debut single, XANDEGA hopes to be known more widely. He has also prepared several other singles which are scheduled to be released in early 2024.
